“In the Footsteps of Yellow Woman” is about a Navajo teen who finds her
own strengths through talking with her Grandmother and learning about their ancestral
history. She imagines what it would be like to be her Great-Great-Great-Grandmother,
Yellow Woman, who lived through the Navajo Long Walk (1864 – 1868). ! Performed by the
descendants of Yellow Woman and filmed in many of the places where the events actually
took place. 26 minute Docu-drama.
Camille Manybeads Tso (Navajo) is a fourteen year old filmmaker who
learned the art of film through the all volunteer Indigenous youth media literacy
collective, Outta Your Backpack Media.

i’m super excited and proud to see the final project….
Wow! This looks intriguing. How can we arrange a screening in the Prescott area? Soon!!!
nice trailer- where can i see the full film?
I’d like to see the whole movie. Are you going to sell the DVD?
Would love to also see the whole film. Let me (us all) know when you’re selling a DVD / VCD version. Be sure to ask enough. We’d all love to see more.

I met your grandmother Julia via the airlines when making a reservation! She was so nice and we talked about our families and gave me the information about your movie.
Will it ever be in the Baltimore, MD area?
Please tell your grandmother I said “hello”–I had misplaced all the information about you and the family but found it today….That means I should clean up my desk more often!
